SlamDunkScout (“SDS”, “we”, “us”) operates the SDS scouting platform — a basketball scouting intelligence service for professional scouts, clubs, and front offices. For anything related to this policy, contact us at legal@slamdunkscout.com.

We collect only what the service needs to work:

• Account data — name, email address, and organization, provided when an account is created for you or when you register.
• Content you create — scouting notes, watchlists, ratings, draft boards, and reports you produce in the application. This content is stored on our infrastructure on your behalf and remains yours.
• Access requests — name, email, and organization submitted through the website’s Request Access form, used solely to respond to your request.
• Usage analytics — anonymous statistics about how the website and application are used, collected through Google Analytics only if you allow it (see §3 and §4).
• Technical logs — server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

The player statistics, rosters, and competition data shown in the platform are professional sports data compiled from publicly available and licensed sources; they concern players in their professional capacity and are not collected from visitors.

We use three kinds of cookies:

• Essential cookies — sign-in sessions and interface preferences (theme, display options). These are required for the service to function and are not used for tracking.
• The consent cookie — remembers your analytics choice for up to 6 months, after which we ask again.
• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics only after you choose “Allow” in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent at all.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser — the banner will ask again on your next visit.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website and application are used — pages visited, general region, device type. Google LLC processes this data on our behalf. We do not use advertising features, we do not sell or rent data to anyone, and advertising-related data signals are explicitly disabled. Where the GDPR applies, we process account data and your created content to perform our contract with you; analytics data on the basis of your consent; and technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform — such as Google (analytics, with your consent) and our hosting providers — and only to the extent needed for them to provide their service. We may disclose data where required by law.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Content you create is kept until you delete it or your account is closed. Analytics data follows Google Analytics’ standard retention period. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these rights, email legal@slamdunkscout.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled infrastructure operated by us and our hosting providers. Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service.

We will update this page as the service evolves and change the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the application or announced to account holders by email.
